  1. I don’t understand why EWTN continues to air these awful Installation Masses. They are so uninspiring! They make me appreciate all the more the glorious splendor not only of the Traditional Latin Mass but of the Eastern Rites (e.g., Byzantine Liturgy), which are rooted in 2,000+ years of Sacred Tradition and are not the fruit of the banal innovations of the liberal 1960s and 70s. It seems as though the Catholic Church is caught in a time warp. This Installation Mass, celebrated in a hideous, modernist structure unfit for Divine Worship, is another example of the impoverished Novus Ordo Missae, a rite invented out of whole cloth by the Mason, Archbishop Annibale Bugnini, and approved by the Modernist and Communist sympathizer, Paul VI (Giovanni Battista Montini). It’s not truly Catholic, but more like a Protestantized (e.g., Lutheran) version of the “Last Supper” (a Memorial Meal not an fully propitious Sacrifice) with focus more on man (i.e., the “community,” “gathering” or “assembly”) than God. Deacons and priests acted in a disoriented fashion. They couldn’t decide whether to genuflect or bow during the Entrance Procession; to keep their hands folded properly or casually. Lay people predominate as busy bodies, poorly “performing” sub-standard music in both English and Spanish. What ever happened to Latin and Gregorian Chant which, according to Vatican II, was supposed to have “pride of place” in the Sacred Liturgy? I hope and pray that one day this vernacular nonsense, this liturgical tomfoolery and borderline sacrilege, will one day be abrogated and the Traditional Latin Mass fully restored ad majorem Dei gloriam et pro mundi salute.

  2. Yet another ugly modernist church, completely lacking in any sense of transcendence — as was the whole point of the modernist demolition of the faith. The focus is no longer on God and the mysteries of the faith but, rather, on oneself and “the people of God,” replete with whitewashed walls, thin windows, and a flat roof. Abhorrent.
