There’s normally a barrier there, the priest doesn’t know who is confessing unless they recognize the voice anyway.
Being a priest I would rather die than to break the sacramental seal..
God bless
Arun Fernandes Thank you Father for your witness
Yet another reason to hate California, please do us all a favor and secede
Confess your sins, which is the transgression of God’s holy law, His ten commandments, to God the Father, not to a mortal sinful human being.
Maybe im not understanding your point. But it seemed to be tbat God in the OT commands us to confess direct to him. MY response, along with others, is that Christ instructs his disciples to take confessions and absolve, forgive, sinners. He seems to be disobeying the OT passage you cite. How do you reconcile Jesus’ words with the OT on this?
+Steve Weatherbe sorry I don’t understand your point here. Care to explain more?
+J. K. But Christ tells his apostles to do it.. So…is He disobeying that passage, and his apostles, if they obey Him, are they disobeying the OT?
Oops. Someone haven’t read his bible before..
Whose sins you shall forgive, they are forgiven them, oops, just kidding.
