Must be embarrassing to be catholic
The past few videos from Catholic answers cut me off at 20 minutes in and proceed to the next video. Not sure if the problem is with me or what
What is wrong with Time Staples??? This guy gets so much wrong…. G-d does not know things instantaneously!!! G-d already know everything from past eternity to future eternity. The Divine intellect knows all essence possible and those not possible and gives some existence and those that receive existence by the conversion of potential to actual. In knowing all possible essences G-d has complete knowledge of all possibilities. Time to get rid of Tim Staples … last year he was saying that we are not under the law… sheesh. Oh and complain about this on Catholic forum and the moderators will kick you off.
Tomas Alou, I’m sure Tim Staples would agree that “G-d already know everything from past eternity to future eternity.” That’s the Catholic position. When they were saying that He knows everything “instantaneously”, they were just speaking colloquially. They didn’t mean He doesn’t know something until it actually happens at the moment. What they mean is that it doesn’t take time for Him to know, or think, something. He doesn’t have to go through a thinking process. You should call the show some time to ask Tim about all the things you think he’s getting wrong.
I believe Tim leans towards Molinism (Congruist).
How Do We Have Free Will if God is All-Knowing?
I’m 33. I’ve been a Catholic for 15 years and never before has my faith been so questioned. I’ve fallen silent and need help.
